Cerevisiae Why?
:) Maybe if someone is asked why the this bizarre pseudonym ...
The more "technical" maybe they know what we talk about but for someone like me until recently, has not the slightest idea what it is ... we do a little 'technique today, and for that we rely on Wikipedia, which says:
"This Saccharomyces cerevisiae, single-celled organism belonging to the kingdom of fungi is a well known species of yeast that reproduces by budding.
yeast is probably the most important in human nutrition and its use has been known since ancient times for baking and brewing and wine. It is thought to have been isolated for the first time from the surface of grapes, this is in fact in bloom. It is one of the most intensively studied eukaryotic microorganisms in cell and molecular biology, such as the model prokaryote Escherichia coli.
is the causative organism of the most common type of fermentation.
Saccharomyces cerevisiae all'ellitico Oval in shape and diameter of 5-10 micrometers. It reproduces through a process of budding. It is useful in the study of the cell cycle because its culture is very simple but, as eukaryotic, presents the complexity of the internal structure of plants and animals. "
Well, yes, an essential element in the yeast ... our loved ones. ..:)
